About Us
The Yoga Co-operative is a small yoga studio located in Harare, offering a tranquil environment and equipped with Asoka natural rubber mats and eco-friendly equipment. The studio aims to promote cooperation among teachers, offering a variety of yoga styles and mindful movement classes. Our team is dedicated to providing a welcoming and inclusive space for practitioners of all levels. We are committed to helping our community find balance and inner peace through the practice of yoga.

Karen Tselentis
Karen is a 100hr Yoga Alliance Ashtanga yoga teacher and LMA certified fitness trainer, as well as CETI Cancer Exercise Specialist.

Gemma is our beautiful energetic Hatha & Somatic yoga teacher who is back in Zimbabwe after many years overseas and working on super yachts.

Shan Fennel
Hi, I’m Shan! I’m 24, living in sunny Harare with my amazing fiancé and our adorable (and slightly spoiled) Beagle. I fell in love with yoga at 15 after an unexpected illness turned my world upside down — it became my safe space, and helped me feel strong and at home in my body again. Now, I’m passionate about teaching yoga as just that: a welcoming, judgment-free zone where everyone belongs, no matter your shape, size, or limitations. I can’t wait to share the magic of yoga with you!

Cathy Bartholomew
Cathy is our BASI Pilates reformer and mat instructor. She has a lifetime of experience in the fitness industry and is also a personal trainer & spinning instructor.

Sarah Hoffmeyer
Hi everyone! I’m Sarah (Se)
My passion is in fitness and the healing benefits of moving our bodies.
I have been a personal trainer and working with people (of all levels) sharing my knowledge on positive lifestyle adaptions for 10 years now.
I believe that when it comes to exercise and wellness we never stop learning! I have continued to progress in my skills and interests in this field over time.
After practicing and teaching in many forms of exercise, Pilates has taught me the importance of mindfulness, focused movement and slowing down in this fast paced world we live in.
I have incorporated these fundamentals into a fun contemporary form of the practice involving strength, flexibility and breath work.
My classes will encompass my concept of “relaxing our nervous systems, whilst exciting our muscles!”
